As a Certified Biological Dental Hygienist, Certified Registered Dental Hygienist, and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist with more than 30 years of clinical experience, I’ve dedicated my career to the oral-systemic connection — the powerful link between the health of the mouth and the health of the entire body.
I’m the author of Dentistry Made Easy, The Great Tooth Deception (with a foreword by Dr. Bryan Ardis), and the children’s book Dorothy and the Tale of the Lost Tooth. Through my books, speaking, and one-on-one work, I help people get to the root cause of oral and systemic issues rather than just treating symptoms.
My focus is on the oral microbiome, proper airway function, and orofacial myofunctional therapy. I help patients improve breathing, swallowing, and facial muscle function — foundational elements that influence sleep quality, inflammation, immune health, and overall wellness.
Simply Pure is the natural extension of everything I’ve learned and practiced over three decades — clean, purposefully formulated products designed to support the everyday choices that truly impact your smile, your skin, and your overall health.
I’ve spent 30 years in dentistry. I tell patients what the industry often won’t. True health starts in the mouth.
Simply Pure exists so the ritual matches that — oral care and skincare without the toxins the standard aisle still blesses. What you put in your mouth and on your skin gets into the bloodstream
Growing up on a farm, I learned that the best remedies often came from nature — fresh ingredients, simple routines, and caring for the body as a whole. Those weren’t trends. They were simply how life was lived.
Years later, as a biological dental hygienist, I listened to the same frustrations from patient after patient: bleeding gums, sensitive teeth, reactive skin, and the feeling that they were doing everything “right” but still weren’t getting better. At the same time, my own daughter’s health challenges made it deeply personal. I could no longer ignore what I was seeing — or recommend most commercial products on the market. They were filled with harsh chemicals that worked against the oral microbiome and the body instead of supporting them.
Then menopause hit, and my own skin changed overnight. It became so dry and dull that I felt desperate to find something that would make it glow again. I didn’t want to spend $117 on a trendy cactus cream I saw on Amazon, so I started researching what actually moisturizes and supports the skin barrier. That’s when I discovered how closely grass-fed beef tallow matches our own skin’s natural lipids. I began experimenting right in my kitchen and created a simple whipped cream that finally gave my skin the deep, lasting moisture it needed.
Every Simply Pure product — from the oral care to the skincare — started the same way: in my kitchen, born from real needs, real research, and a refusal to settle for products that didn’t truly work. That belief became Simply Pure.
